Painkillers have their place in our lives… We all use them from time to time…

Many individuals utilize over-the-counter and/or prescription medicines on a regular basis… The problem, however, lies in their misuse. If taken regularly they could lead to liver failure, intestinal damage, hypertension and other detrimental side effects on health.

Are you aware that there are ways to ease pain without experiencing unintended repercussions?

Sure, natural painkillers exist!

Natural painkillers could provide you with relief… and most likely already exist in your kitchen!

  1. Turmeric
When it comes to painkilling ingredients found right in your own kitchen, turmeric stands out. Known for being anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory in its effects, turmeric is often prescribed by medical practitioners in treatments for any number of aches or ailments!

Curcumin found within turmeric can serve as an effective painkiller.

Curcumin can help alleviate burn pain more effectively than standard medicines.

Furthermore, this herb can assist conditions like ulcerative colitis, diabetic neuropathy, lupus, wounds and many more.

  1. Cloves
Cloves are flower buds harvested from a tree known as Syzygium aromaticum that produces evergreen foliage that features clove-shaped flower buds, often found at its bases.

Cloves have long been utilized as part of Ayurveda (an ancient form of medication). Their main function in Ayurveda medicine is improving digestion while attenuating toothaches.

Add several drops of clove oil on a cotton swab and apply directly on any areas where there may be discomfort, such as toothaches. This should provide effective pain relief.

  1. Ginger
One of the principal advantages of ginger is its anti-inflammatory benefits, specifically with regard to pain receptors and alleviating discomfort. Gingerol plays an active part in doing just this and relieving your discomfort is directly affected.

Ginger can be an effective anti-nausea remedy and should be utilized throughout pregnancy to combat nausea.

Add ginger to freshly-pressed juices or use its benefits as a tea, peel and slice one knob, boil in water for 10 minutes and use this solution as needed.

  1. Garlic Garlic has long been recognized as an effective natural antifungal and antibiotic.

However, garlic contains sulfur which helps combat irritation and eases arthritis-related aches.

  1. Pineapple
Pineapple can help ease symptoms such as bloating after consumption due to bromelain enzyme in pineapple which plays a part in decreasing feelings of being heavy and full…

Additionally, chiropractic treatment could aid with arthritis and joint discomfort.

Bromelain can help reduce irritation and improve circulation.

  1. Valerian root
Consuming Valerian Root can also provide stress and nervousness relief.

Menstrual cramps and body aches could potentially also be soothed through yoga practice.

Valerian root may help ease muscle spasms and act as a muscle relaxant.

  1. Cherries
Cherries contain anthocyanins, an antioxidant flavonoid pigments which give purple, blue and dark-red vegetation vibrant hues.

Anthocyanins have long been recognized to reduce inflammation within the body. Many athletes take tart cherry juice in order to alleviate pain relief.

Studies have confirmed the ability of tart cherries to reduce muscle damage caused by irritation among runners.

  1. Essential Oils Essential oils like chamomile, lavender or sage can provide natural painkillers which may also provide muscle relief.

Just the scent of essential oils can soothe you and ease all kinds of discomforts, and complement alternative pure therapies that I mentioned above.

So the next time you feel an urge to pop a pill for instant pain relief, why not give these natural painkillers a try first?
