Before keto, I probably never would have dreamt of making my own syrup from scratch; the idea never crossed my mind! Nowadays however, I find great satisfaction in adapting an everyday recipe into something low carb; making meals that suit both my tastes and needs perfectly while not including all those unneeded preservatives and chemicals often found in store-bought maple syrup producers or prepackaged meals.
Parts I bet you will be amazed to discover just how simple and few parts it takes to craft delicious keto maple syrup!
Sweetener – My preferred sweetener is an allulose blend with erythritol, stevia and xylitol for maximum efficiency, having no aftertaste while being twice as sweet as sugar and other common sweeteners; therefore you need less of it overall! My recipe card also provides substitution suggestions.
Butter Extract – Have you experienced butter extract yet? It adds delicious flavors to a variety of recipes. Give some a try now!
Maple Extract – To give our favorite syrup that delicious maple flavor we know and adore.
Vanilla Extract – Vanilla really brings out other flavors beautifully.
Xanthan gum – Used to thicken syrup, its use makes this additive indispensable! You won’t want to skimp out!

Ready For An Easy Recipe Of Keto Pancake Syrup
If yes, then here it is! Let’s do this together.
Step One: Boil water and mix sweetener together until everything has completely melted in a small pot, whisking frequently as necessary if possible to prevent caramelization of your mixture. Step Two: If necessary, caramelization could potentially occur after too much time has been allowed to pass before its complete melting occurs.
Step Two: Combine butter, maple and vanilla extracts along with xanthan gum until all components have incorporated, before stirring thoroughly to let cool to room temperature.
Skilled Tip: For added thickness, feel free to add another 1/4 teaspoon of xanthan gum; however, the syrup should thicken further when stored in the fridge.
Step Three: Use a fine mesh sieve to strain out chunks of xanthan gum for the most natural-tasting sugar-free syrup texture.
Doesn’t that look easy?! Even for those without much kitchen experience, this recipe can come together quickly!
Variations
Brown Sugar Syrup – To add an intense molasses-style taste, consider replacing sugar-free pancake syrup with brown sugar-style substitute.
Fruit Flavors – Add orange peel, lemon peel, lime zest, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries or strawberries into syrup for flavor enhancement and safe storage purposes. By carefully monitoring all objects that go in or out with this system, it should allow for creating several distinct fruit flavored syrups with ease.
Herbs – To add an eye-catching finishing touch, try including rosemary, lavender or basil in your syrup while it cooks.
Pumpkin Spice – Pumpkin spice is an enjoyable fall flavor and we like adding cinnamon throughout the year for added spice goodness.
Frequent Questions on FACILITATE (FOCALIFT) Services.
Does maple syrup fit with keto diets or is it high in carbohydrates? Pure maple syrup has plenty of sugars; therefore it shouldn’t be included on a ketogenic diet plan; however it might be used sparingly if following low-carb weight-loss plans to reach your weight goals and meet them more rapidly. Also note that many pancake syrups also include high fructose corn syrup which I would advise against including as part of your breakfast menu plan.
How Can You Store Sugar Free Syrup? In case your keto pancake syrup doesn’t get eaten all at once, storing it could save it! Pour it into an airtight container in the fridge; this way it should last at least 1-2 weeks when kept cold before needing heating up for 10-15 seconds in a microwave prior to consumption for optimal taste!
Add just a bit of lemon juice to extend its shelf life; typically up to 4 weeks! Another possible addition would be citric acid.
What Are My Storage Options For Syrup? Any glass jar would work effectively to store this sugar-free maple syrup recipe. Mason jars make ideal choices due to their tight fitting lid. Alternatively, save any old maple syrup bottles you come across or order online – although glass lasts longer. Ultimately it’s up to you.
How Can You Repair Crystalized Syrup? It is common for syrup to form crystals as it cools; to restore crystalized syrup you simply need to warm back up and stir to dissolve them – either using microwave heat, or heating over very low heat in a saucepan (while stirring continuously to avoid burning!). As soon as warmed through and crystals have dispersed into solution it will be ready to enjoy again!
Does Keto Syrup Taste Good? Absolutely! The combination of maple extract with vanilla and butter extract create an irresistibly tasty syrup experience reminiscent of what many may remember from before going low carb – though perhaps not identical – while making it the easiest solution for sweetening breakfast recipes.
