Substances
Our Keto Fried Pickle Recipe utilizes Dill Spears; however, I believe any variety such as chips or slices would work just as well.
Coconut Flour – Coconut flour assists the breading process for pickles.
Pork Rinds – Crushed pork rinds add a crunchy bite that won’t compete with the flavors in pickles or beers. Their mild taste complements them beautifully!
Eggs – Eggs are the foundational ingredient, helping the breading adhere securely to pickles.
Step One in Making Keto Fried Pickles
Cover each pickle in coconut flour, followed by egg wash and finally pork rind mixture before breading them.
Step Two: Create pickles inside an oven or air fryer.
Air Fryer Instructions
To create these in an Air Fryer, ensure they don’t overlap by making sure each pickle sits alone inside its basket – otherwise each spear won’t get crisped enough when cooked! Preheat the air fryer at 400 levels and air fry them for approximately seven minutes or until they turn out golden-brown and complete cooking process has taken place.
Oven Instructions
Your breaded pickles can be baked at 400 F for roughly seven minutes in your oven, provided the breading appears golden-brown when finished. Sometimes I will spray some avocado oil over them as an aid to keeping their shape.
Concepts for Making Keto Fried Pickles
Dry Pickles | Be sure to pat dry your pickles. Moist pickles won’t hold onto their breading; I like using paper toweling so my pickles have time to drain a bit from their extra juice before being placed back onto a paper towel to allow drying off time. Alternatively, using Dill Pickle Chips in place of spears would also work!
Crushed Pork Rinds | To make crushed pork rinds for breading supplies, simply toss into a food processor, blender or sealable bag and break apart into breading materials resembling bread crumbs. I found rolling my pork rinds around with a rolling pin worked almost just as effectively compared to using either blenders or food processors as these methods might.
Coconut Flour | My choice for low carb diet is coconut flour; those without such concerns could easily opt for all-purpose white flour as their option; almond flour would make an equally great alternative!
Dipping Sauce
Looking for assistance pairing crispy fried pickles with something tasty and different? There is an assortment of tasty sauces out there which could fit the bill; please select from below a selection of our favorites.
Homemade Dill Sauce – Recipe Below! This sauce is my version of ranch dressing and delicious. All it requires are bitter cream, garlic powder, vinegar (or pickle juice), dill weed, salt and pepper for best results.
Jalapeno Ranch- This dish packs quite the spicy punch! Ideal if you like spicy food!
Selfmade Ranch Sauce – Similar to the dill sauce, but featuring onion and parsley instead.
BBQ Sauce – My absolute favorite barbecue sauce is white!
Copycat Chick-fil-a Sauce – Sweet, salty and delectable all at the same time! This copycat Chick-fil-a Sauce recipe delivers every delicious bite.

What Are Keto Fried Pickles? Keto fried pickles are exactly as their name implies – baked in an oven but with that distinctive crunchy coating associated with traditional fried pickles! So now, without needing a pan full of oil for deep frying!
What breading options exist in keto?
For my low-carb fried pickles, coconut flour and pork rinds were used for their crunchy textures while still remaining low-carb friendly. Furthermore, pork rinds are frequently utilized as breading in my Keto Breaded Hen Breast recipes.
Once your pickles come out of the Air Fryer or oven, it may be best to serve them up immediately. Their coating should remain crisp for around half-an-hour after cooking before slowly becoming soggy – though some people might enjoy that soggier texture more. While that might satisfy certain people, many others would like their pickles with that “fried” texture intact.
Should any leftovers remain, they can be refrigerated before being refrozen; once refrigerated however, their texture becomes soggier and their crunch less distinct; to restore some crunch you could put them back in the oven to heat and crisp back up before eating them again.
This Fried Pickles Recipe is easy and quick to make – all it requires is minimal prep work, quick cook-through meal time and just three ingredients! Try them now as an indulgence midweek treat or save for later as an appetiser when watching sporting events on TV or entertaining friends and family!
